Raw Acai Buckwheat Porridge
Here is a quick recipe, using some of my favourite new products. I will be doing a proper review of them ASAP. But, as per usual, busy busy bee.
Raw Acai Buckwheat Porridge
Serves one
½ cup buckwheat – soaked in water + 1 tbsp lemon juice for
at least one hour, or overnight, then drained and rinsed to remove as much of
the starch-iness
½ tsp ginger
1 tsp tahini
splash of almond milk
2 tsp maple syrup or 1 date
optional: 1 tsp Neal’s Yard Organic
Beauty Oil (I say optional, but highly recommended)
drain the soaked buckwheat and rinse.
Add it all to a blender or food processor. Remember to open the acai capsules
carefully and empty only the powder into the mixture, the throw the capsule
skins away. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding a little bit more almond milk
if you want it ever so slightly runnier. Pour it out into a bowl and top it
with anything you love. I like cacao nibs, edible rose petals, some raw core
love and sea buckthorn powder. And if you have them, which I don’t, fresh
berries.
